Let's play ... Colossal Cave 3-D!

So, I went to Steam and plonked down some of my hard-earned for Ken and Roberta's Colossal Cave 3-D. I was very excited. I never before played Colossal Cave, but of course it's legendary.

Unfortunately, my game keeps freezing after two minutes or so of playing, and I can't do anything but close it down (with Task Manager - I'm using Win11) and restart.

Any idea what's going on? I've already tried:

1. Verifying the game files with Steam (twice);
2. Running the game in Windows 7/8 Compatibility;
3. Updating my GPU drivers (which are up to date anyway).

Does anyone know what else I can try? :-\

Steam says the minimum requirement is Windows 10-64bit, so are you using that? It may not be necessary but it is listed.

No, I'm using Windows 11 Home.

Windows 7/8 compatibility won't be of help since it was supposed to run on Windows 10.

I haven't tried playing it in a few years. Updating drivers is a good first step. Your best bet is probably the Steam forum.
