I am at a loss of words. If you're not on Facebook, you may not be aware who Roberta Vaughan is... but she's been very, very, very heavily involved in the Sierra community - often seen helping and even hanging out with the Coles, during their Hero-U Kickstarter, was in a lot of the other Sierra projects helping out...

I'm saddened to say that Sierra super fan and friend Roberta Vaughan reportedly had a serious medical emergency and has been in a coma for a week now...
Please keep her in your thoughts.

Additionally, Josh Mandel started a gofundme for her medical bills...

That's really sad to hear. I'm not familiar with her, but it sounds like she did a lot for the fandom. I hope for her recovery.

I'm also not familiar with Roberta, but it's very sad to hear. For Josh Mandel to start a godfundme for her, it sounds like meant a lot to a lot of people. I hope she recovers.

Very sad indeed. There is nothing I can say (like offering prayers or hugs to the Vaughan family) that feels adequate. I'm very sorry to hear the news.

As everyone surely knows by now, Roberta was taken off of life support yesterday, July 18th, 2025.
She lives on, though, in the hearts and memories of all those who were privileged enough to know her.
We have suspended taking donations, and will be contacting our wonderful donors soon with more details, but that's not the focus of this particular update.
The greatest tribute to her was penned by her sibling, Ames Vaughan. Corey and Lori Cole's magnificent RPG/Adventure hybrid, "Quest for Glory," was one of Roberta's favorite games. And her very favorite environment in the game was "Erana's Peace." Mark Siebert composed beautiful music for this room.
Ames wrote lyrics to this music, and has named the new creation "Roberta's Peace." As some have noted on Facebook, Roberta really embodied the spirit of Erana. That makes this the most fitting tribute possible.
