Um...! Well, I can see the Cygnus sign, obviously, but ... *magnifies* Ah! There it is, the Colossal Cave sign over the guy who crashed his green car in PQ1. ;)

Happy New Year everyone!

Someone had a bit too much champagne for New Years. Don't drink and drive, folks!

Nice work, Tawmis. I still like the crashed car in the Sierra building. I know it's supposed to be a shadow, but it looks just like a hole.

Someone on reddit asked for a wallpaper version of my gif - the original screen wasn't 1920x1080 - so I pasted it into a 1920x1080 - then just used Paint Shop Pro and a lot of copy and paste to extend the screen to fit.

Here it is. I may use this when I may my 2025 End of the Year gif - because I realized - the person next to the hero is Gwydion/Alexander - and in my haste, I clearly messed up, as that is actually supposed to be Taran from the Black Cauldron. So in the 2025 one (if I am still alive to make these dumb things!) - I will move Alexander and put Taran there.

I may have to have another go at this, Tawm.

The perspective of the "Happy New Year" lettering on the roof is big time messing with my OCD something fierce for a second year. ;) For the people in the picture, the lettering would be slanted severely to the left! :shock:

I played around with it last year, trying to match it with the angles of the roofline, but wasn't happy with the result. Maybe I'll do better this time around... :lol:

Considering it's supposed to be like lights, technically the slant could go left or right, depending on their placement on the roof. :)
And they are slanted to the left already. I think you mean they'd slant to the right? To go with the right slant that the roof has?

And technically wouldn't it just be straight up and down? No slant?

The lettering on the roof would be "straight up & down" to the people in the picture if they were looking at the building straight-on; if that were the case, the lettering should slant toward the upper right corner of the picture for us, the viewer, at this particular perspective to match the sides of the roof.

If we were to be looking at the building straight-on as currently configured, the letters would all slant to the upper left corner of the picture.

I'll show examples when I get home from work tonight. :)

Here is what I mean. If you were to shift the angle of the roof to the left, i.e., look at it straight on, the letters skews heavily left.

And to be fair, there is some subtle perspective going on here for this roof; it's not all at the same angle. The roof above Cedric is a 1:5 (14-76-90 angle), above Freddy Pharkas is 1:2 (26½-63½-90 angle) and above the car crash is a 1:1 angle (45-45-90 angle).
