Hooray!!!

After nearly 10 years of trying and struggling and failing, and after accepting a 12-month contract (at my current role) that was extended for another 6 months ... and another 6 months ... and another 12 months (you get the picture - a 12-month role that became a slightly-over-3-years role) ...
*deep breath*
... and after dropping constant hints to management about how I was desperately looking for stability in my role, etc., etc... this afternoon, they finally offered me permanency!!!
*jumps up and down like a very excited person who has a very exciting reason to be very excited*

Thank you, all!
It's a bit strange. After I became a permanent, suddenly a lot of agents want to offer me work somewhere else. I've had to say "no" a few times. But I got a really weird email this evening. *shrug*
The agent started off by telling me, "Your skills are in demand!!!" and wanted to offer me the chance to apply for a job waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay across town (about an hour's drive, or 2 hours by public transport), at -- wait for it -- a chocolate manufacturer, where I'd be packing and labelling chocolate bars.
O ... K. Meanwhile, I've been working accounts for the past 16 years, and in healthcare for about 13 of them. I also have a job about 20 minutes' drive away (or 40 minutes by public transport). And two weeks ago I was offered permanency, which I've been seeking for 9 years. I was very happy to accept.
So, let's recap: much longer travelling time. Not my area of expertise at all. Probably paying much, much less.
Why in the name of sanity should I even consider this?
Obviously this person hasn't even glanced at my CV ...

I know... I get recruiter spam all the time myself, my inbox is full at the end of the day, mostly with offers to work as croupier in a casino or in a supermarket or at a gas station 50 miles away...
Those people just have your mail address on the list and send you anything that is on the list they assigned you to.
