Okay, so it isn't SQ2 in disguise. Still a fun download, though. Took me forever to kill that monster, but the little thing Roger does afterward is worth it.

No, it's just a mini-game based on an April Fool's joke. It's just one screen, but it gives you a feel for the graphics, voice acting, and gameplay (with the real game lacking a QFG-style fight scene.)

So is there plans for actually doing more with it? Or that was it?

All of the IA fans are (im)patiently waiting for SQ2 VGA remake, which is nearing completion.

"Space Quest for Glory" is just a joke created by the guys making the SQ2 remake. SQ2+ is the "more with it" you're thinking of. Think of SQoG as a gag demo.
