Top BioWare Companions

I won't lie: companions and party dynamics are what set BioWare RPGs apart from the others, at least in my opinion, and the player character's relationships with them are perhaps my favorite feature of their games since Knights of the Old Republic. Of course their stories are top-notch too, but in my opinion they would be diminished with a solitary character traveling the world on his own. I remember, for example, a moment in Dragon Age, when your companions say goodbye to you before the final battle with the Archdemon, which, without the companions, wouldn't have had the same epic emotional impact.
Anyway, I thought it would be nice, since in these days we've talked a lot about BioWare RPGs, to post our favorite companions and we could use this thread even for discuss them (I remember, for esample, that Tawmis have a pretty strong opinion on ME2's Jack) or the ones in the next games, like DA2 and ME3.
This is my Top 10 (at least for now):
1. Zevran (DA:O)
2. Juhani (KotOR)
3. Nathaniel Howe (DA:A)
4. Sky (JE)
5. Anders (DA:A)
6. Garrus Vakarian (ME, ME2)
7. Carth Onasi (KotOR)
8. Shale (DA:O)
9. HK-47 (KotOR)
10. Sigrun (DA:A)
Honorable mention (since he's not exactly a companion): Jeff "Joker" Moreau
Other notable characters that I like: Mission Vao (KotOR), Miranda Lawson (ME2), Jolee Bindo (KotOR) and Linu La'neral (NWN).

1. Tali'Zorah vas Normandy (ME & ME2)
2. Garrus Vakarian (ME & ME2)
3. Leliana (DA:O)
4. Zevran (DA:O)
5. Mordin Solus (ME2)
6. HK-47 (KotOR)
7. Legion (ME2)
8. Alistair (DA:O)
9. Morrigan (DA:O)
10. Loghain Mac Tir (DA:O)
Honorable mentions include: Jeff "Joker" Moreau (ME & ME2), Jolee Bindo (KotOR), Mission Vao (KotOR), Oghren (DA:O & DA:A), Grunt (ME2) and my Mabari War Hound (DA:O).
I'm haven't finished DA:A yet, so I don't feel I can make an accurate decision about the characters until the game is over. If I had to choose now, I'd have a difficult time since none of the characters really make much of an impression.

Not even Anders?
I mean: Have you given him the kitten? Sir Pounce-a-lot triggers a conversationt that is almost too cute to be true!
And yes, Mordin and Tali should be in my honarable mentions too.

Yeah, I gave Anders
Sir Pounce-a-lot. He's too "lovey-dovey" about the kitten for my tastes, but then again, I've never liked cats.
I think it's unfair to judge important characters before the game is over. Of course, in some cases (like Jack) doing so isn't entirely unwarranted.

No one remembers Deekin? Aww.

Actually, I had forgotten about Deekin. I thought he was
completely annoying with that squeaky little voice and the constant need to refer to himself in the third-person. GAH. Thanks for reminding me, Rath.
I agree about the characters being the best thing about the Bioware games. I have to admit that I see each game as progressing in terms of characters, so I tend to think of characters in the newer games as better than older games, but I'll throw in my favourites for the old games too.
This order isn't absolute and people will move up and move down, depending on my mood and which game I've played the most recently. I really don't think I need to specify the games.
I like most of the characters in the more recent Bioware games because they all have fairly distinct and interesting personalities. These are my
most favourite, on a more personal level:
Leliana
Garrus
Tali
Alistair
Sigrun
Mission
Cavall (Mabari War Hound)
Kasumi
Some characters I simply didn't spend enough time with to really "get to know" (like Zevran). Others I liked as interesting characters, but not as people (like Morrigan and Miranda).
I should probably also say that I haven't finished ME2 yet, so I haven't spent much time with other party members.

Glad to see that Sigrun made your list! She's adorable!
And it seems that I'm the only one that genuinely like Miranda. Furthermore, that really prefer her over Tali

I just saw Miranda as self-absorbed bitch. She had moments of decency, but overall, her attitude turned me off.

"Heh. Deekin just remembers that one time you yells at Deekin. *sigh* Good times..."
Actually, I thought Deekin was kinda adorable.

He
was annoying, but I just couldn't bring myself to hate him. It'd be like kicking a puppy.

The major difference in this case is that a puppy can't talk.

Sigrun was awesome. She kind of reminds me of Grace in the GK series because of her sarcasm and kindness. If Grace was dwarven rogue.
I haven't finished ME2 yet, so I have yet to see how Miranda ends up, but I will admit that she improved in her attitude after you do her loyalty mission. I guess the one thing I just couldn't get over was that she thought it was acceptable to
put some kind of control device in Shepard when rebuilding her. That seems like a pretty big personality flaw to me. Not exactly inspiring of trust. I probably could have forgiven her ego, which is an aggravating trait in anyone, if it hadn't been for that.

I thought the major difference is that the puppy makes me want to snuggle it and talk to it a ridiculous voice, whereas Deekin just made me want to tell him to go away.
